Ternary Catalyst

The exhaust gas purification device of the automobile, referred to as the ternary catalyst, its main function is to oxidize and reduce the carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides in the automobile exhaust gas to generate carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water that are harmless to the atmosphere, thereby achieve purification results. Ternary catalytic converters mainly contain three precious metals: platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd), and rhodium (Rh). Generally, the ternary catalyst equipped with the original car contains about 1-3g of precious metals, and about 1.5g of platinum can be extracted per kilogram of catalyst powder.

CFAN XRF spectrometer can quickly and accurately detect platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd), rhodium (Rh) and other rare metals in ternary catalytic converters with low detection limit and high detection efficiency, which can better help customers find value.
